In this physical and active workshop, we will discover two major Clowning principles: the fixed point and sharing with your audience.
We will play a series of games to feel how these two ideas can allow you to come alive, establish complicite between performer and audience, and find pleasure in performing that can be used across all performance types.
Please wear clothes suitable for moving around in.
The target audience is for performers of multiple genres and experiences (dancers, singers, actors, stand-up comedians) or for those who wish to trial some clowning principles for the first time.
Jessica Barton hails from Naarm / Melbourne, Australia, and is a triple-threat Clown, combining her professional Musical Theatre degree with her professional training from L’Ecole Philippe Gaulier to deliver highly professional comedy, professionally.
